❊ 1. Sci-fi Author Nnedi Okorafor Says Publishers Whitewashed Her Book Cover. “As a black woman writing a black female main character in a scifi novel (set in Africa), seeing my character whitewashed on the cover felt-like-erasure.” Check out the pictures.
❊ 2. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the winner of the first annual One Book, One New York campaign to get all New Yorkers to read the same book at the same time. And you can listen to the Americanah audiobook for free at Scribd.com/OneBookNY
