Here’s a look at some interesting things we read/ saw / thought / did last week.

Bookish

ONE. Have you read any of Amazon’s Best Books of the 2018 So Far? I’ve read 4 of them – all of which I liked.

TWO. I found a few of my faves on Stop the Presses! Here are 16 Favourite Books of 2018 that are INCREDIBLE.

THREE. And on this one too … Best Books of 2018 So Far.

FOUR. Finding New Favorites in 2018 – What’s on your list of bookish faves so Far this year.

FIVE. What do you think about Re-Rating Books? Do you … would you?

SIX. A curated list of (almost) all the Summer Reading lists … now why didn’t I think of doing that?!

SEVEN. What’s on your list of Most Anticipated 2018 Releases From July Onwards? Muse of Nightmares, Laini Taylor is on mine too.

EIGHT13 Ways of Coping with a Book Hangover – THANKS! It’s so , so hard when that happens.

Blog

NINE. Should you write off-topic posts when (life or political) shit hits the fan? is something I’ve wondered myself. There are a few times that I’ve done it a few times, but nowhere near as often as I’ve thought about doing it.

Life

TEN9 Things Successful Women Do Before 9AM … they don’t hit snooze! Yikes – I’m out.

ELEVEN. I thought My London money diary was pretty interesting, and would like to do something like that on the blog one day soon.

Currently Reading

I just finished The Outsider, Stephen King – just in time as my read for the Crack The Case {Monthly Motif}. It was so amazingly good – mysterious and weird at the same time, as only King can do.

My pick for this month’s {Monthly Motif is Legendary (Caraval #2), Stephanie Garber so that’s what I’m on to next. I’m listening to the audiobook and it is making the perfect vacation read so far.

What’s one thing you have to do every morning? I have to drink coffee (and tea) on weekday mornings – but on weekends – it’s just tea.

I only re-rate books if, after thinking about them, my original rating doesn’t work, but that’s usually within in the week after I read it.

  2. Oh, I always love your lists – you find such interesting stuff! I saw all the Best of 2018 so far… lists and figured I hadn’t read any – I didn’t used to ever read new releases while they were new – but I’ve read 3 on the Amazon list already 🙂 Writing reviews for Shelf Awareness and reviewing more audiobooks has put more new releases on my reading radar these days.

Thanks for reminding me of the Monthly Motif Challenge – I often forget to check until it’s the end of the month! lol I still manage to hit most of them, though.

Have a good week & enjoy your books!
