3 MORE #WickedGoodReads That Are Psychological Thrillers II

Every year we have #WickedGoodReads, we talk about the psychological thrillers that we’ve recently read and loved. We’ve looked at 3 Favorite Psychological Thrillers and 3 #WickedGoodReads That Play Mind Games With You last year. So here are 3 MORE #WickedGoodReads That Are Psychological Thrillers.

+ Tanya – I’ve read quite a few psychological thrillers already this year and 2 of my faves have been …

The Woman in the Window, A.J. Finn

This is a fast paced, easy to read psychological thriller. The main character was borderline unlikeable (and reminded me of the main character in The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins) – but that’s also what makes the book thrive. It has suspense, an interesting story – and although I feel some of the characters could have been more detailed – it didn’t keep me from enjoying the book. Pick this one up if you can.

The Woman in the Window (Book)

It’s been ten long months since Anna Fox last left her home. Ten months during which she has haunted the rooms of her old New York house like a ghost, lost in her memories, too terrified to step outside. Anna’s lifeline to the real world is her window, where she sits day after day, watching her neighbours. When the Russells move in, Anna is instantly drawn to them. But one evening, a frenzied scream rips across the silence, and Anna witnesses something no one was supposed to see.

The Child (Kate Waters #2), Fiona Barton

The Child is the 2nd book by Fiona Barton. The first, The Widow, is also a psychological thriller and it is so good! This book is technically the 2nd in the series, but it reads like a standalone. The common factor is Kate Water who is the reporter in both books. The Child is a character driven novel of suspense and an excellent example of a slow burning, suspenseful psychological thriller with an ending that I didn’t see coming and was completely unexpected. The characters were complicated and sympathetic and I also really enjoyed the way everything came together, surprising me along the way.

The Child by Fiona Barton

When a paragraph in an evening newspaper reveals a decades-old tragedy, most readers barely give it a glance. But for three strangers it’s impossible to ignore. For one woman, it’s a reminder of the worst thing that ever happened to her. For another, it reveals the dangerous possibility that her darkest secret is about to be discovered. And for the third, a journalist, it’s the first clue in a hunt to uncover the truth.

+ Kim – I am reading the best psychological thriller series right now and this is the first book…

Stillhouse Lake, Rachel Caine

Stillhouse Lake was such a fast read. Imagine your ex-husband is a serial killer and he wants you dead. Imagine also having kids you’re trying to protect from him so you’re constantly on the run. It took me awhile to figure out where this was going considering the bad guy is supposed to be in jail. I wasn’t sure which characters to trust and it totally took me for a ride.

With her ex now in prison, Gwen has finally found refuge in a new home on remote Stillhouse Lake. But just when she’s starting to feel at ease in her new identity, a body turns up in the lake—and threatening letters start arriving from an all-too-familiar address.

I love a psychological thriller, so these are awesome recommendations!! I can’t think of ANY that I have read lately, and that obviously needs to change ASAP!

    • What else have you read by Rachel Caine? Stillhouse Lake was my first from her.
