5 Random Things This Weekend #AMonthofFaves

Happy Monday! It’s the second week of #AMonthofFaves [The 2018 Edition] hosted by Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge. Today’s prompt is to share a day/week in the life or just some highlights from your weekend. So here are 5 Random Things that made up my weekend…

ONE. Crafting and Baking with my boys. I had a bunch of holiday baking that had to happen this weekend and thankfully, my boys were happy to jump in and lend a helping hand. We also ended up making a few Christmas crafts including these ornaments for my families annual homemade ornament exchange.

TWO. Christmas Parties and Meeting Santa. I’m the secretary for my local MOMS Club International chapter and we had our annual Christmas party this past Saturday night. As always, it was a chaotic and fun time for everyone. Santa even made an appearance at the end!

THREE. Breakfast Out. Breakfast out on the weekend always feels like such a treat for me.

FOUR. Movies. This weekend we watched Arthur Christmas, The Polar Express, and The Holiday. I absolutely love vegging out for holiday movie watching! Now, I need to break out a Harry Potter marathon because I always love watching them this time of year.

FIVE. Reading all the Christmas books. We typically do a Christmas picture book advent every December, but this time I just pulled them all out at once and we’ve been enjoying reading through them at random.

What was the best thing about your weekend? If you’re participating in #AMonthofFaves [The 2018 Edition] link up to your blog post (or Instagram picture) below.

I like how you documented just five things. I did a whole (extremely lengthy) Day In The Life for Saturday and it’s super-long. (Did I mention “long”?!?!?)

Anyways, your ornaments are beautiful. I love them. And I’d forgotten about The Polar Express. I should put it on our list of movies to watch this season.

I’m going to start reading the first Harry Potter aloud to Rachel over the holidays so I think we’ll introduce the first movie to our kids once I’ve finished that with her. Neither kid has seen them yet. I like stretching the magic out 🙂

    • Thank you Natasha. My kids are still a bit young for Harry Potter so I’m still anxiously waiting until they’re old enough to introduce them. Hubs and I still like to watch them on our own though.

Sounds like you had a great weekend!
