  1. Just One Damned Thing After Another!
How is the Cretaceous Period for a unique destination? How about eleventh-century London, World War I, and the destruction of the Great Library at Alexandria? I love how wacky this book is! From mad accidents in time, to a murderous History. Definitely worth a read!

I read At Home in the World: Reflections on Belonging While Wandering the Globe (travel memoir)
    by Tsh Oxenreider https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32487581-at-home-in-the-world.
I also read The Jane Austen Project: A Novel by Kathleen A. Flynn (time travel) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32075512-the-jane-austen-project.
I actually surprised myself having two that fulfilled this month’s motif and I liked them both.

My last book for the this month’s challenge was Penny by Ellie Keaton.

  4. Plenty of questing in my fantasy read this month, Green Rider! Good adventure story, lots of action, some of the conversation felt forced for the sake of info dumping though!

I read “eat, pray, love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. Some years ago I also watched the movie :-p
Some boring pages, but it’s a good book

I read On A Night Like This (Callaways, #1) by Barbara Freethy. Not to give too much away, both the H and h have go on a journey of self forgiveness.

My daughter recommended Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret. It’s not very long but it is a good story. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2030232067

  9. I chose The Howling Stones by Alan Dean Foster. And it was really very good!

I read Wicked: The Life And Times Of The Wicked Witch Of The West by Gregory Maguire. The story of Oz and it’s inhabitants gets turned on it’s head from our childhood remembrances. In it, Elphaba stuggles to find her place -in her family and in Oz- , journeys to fight for justice and forgiveness. It was interesting to see how it differed from the musical. And I would NOT recommend reading it with a kid because there are some very suggestive, if not outright sexual points. I started reading it with my 15 year old and thank god she said she wanted to stop LOL

I finished The Boy on the Bridge, M.R. Carey. It was an awesome read! It’s the companion story to The Girl With All the Gifts (also awesome). The science team in the book were on a journey to recover samples from previous expeditions and find anything that could help find a cure for the zombie plague (in this case a fungus).

    • I need to read more of Carey after reading The Girl With All the Gifts!

I was reading a book written by Nikolaj Leskov “the enchanted wanderer” but I stopped it because it was too much cruel with animals for me 😡

    • I do the same thing! If there’s child abuse or cruelty to animals in a book, I can’t read it!

For this month’s motif I read ‘Are You Seeing Me?’ by Daren Groth. It’s about a journey of Australian twins to BC and Seattle and was a decent read.

I started with a short story by H.P. Lovecraft. While the destination was actually close, what was to be met with was still unknown, thought vaguely hinted at.
