June #BookBlogger Events

One of the most awesome things about the book blogging community is all the events that you can participate in. Here are a few that you can join in June.

June #BookBlogger Events

May 28 – Sep. 5, 2018. Big Book Summer Reading Challenge. How many 400+ page books can you read from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I look forward to this challenge every year!

June 1 – 14, 2018. SciFi Summer Read-a-Thon. Read as much science fiction (or fantasy) as you can for #SciFiJune. Check in on

Jun. 1 – Sep. 3. 20 Books of Summer. You can participate in this challenge by choosing your own – 10, 15 or 20 – books to read this summer. Make a list, and link back to the original post. Then hashtag the hell out of your progress #20booksofsummer.

June 22 – July 6, 2018. Blog Ahead (Mini). The Goal: 15 extra posts in your “scheduled” pile. Blog Ahead is all about helping you get ahead with your blog posts and hopefully eliminating some of the stress that comes with scrambling to get posts completed last minute. It’s amazing for getting ready for vacations, school events and a lifesaver when emergencies or blogging slumps hit!

June 23 – 24, 2018. Summer Mini Bloggiesta. Work on your blog, work with others, and get engaged in the book blogging community.

Ongoing

May 1 – June 30, 2018. #MiddleMarchinMay Read-along. Take it at a leisurely pace as to read Middlemarch by George Elliot. While we start in May, I’ll leave the ending date tentatively at the end of June. Share via a blog post, leave a comment, or send a tweet.

June #BookAwards

June 8. Winner for the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction. “The Prize is awarded annually and celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing from throughout the world.”

June 25. Winners of the Locus Awards which honors the best in science fiction and fantasy books for the previous year.

Are you participating in any #BookBlogger Events this month? I’m doing Blog Ahead to get some #SummerAtoZ posts ready.
