One of the most awesome things about the book blogging community is all the events that you can participate in. Here are a few that you can join in May.

#BookBlogger Events

Apr. 27 – Aug. 16, 2017. SYNC.  SYNC will give away 30 titles – two paired audiobook downloads a week – one classic and one modern day YA!

May 8 – 14, 2017. Bout of Books. A week-long read-a-thon. There are challenges and more – it’s a very community oriented event, so sign up and read!

May 31 – Jun. 2, 2017. Bookexpo America including BEA Bloggers Conference in Chicago, IL. Books, authors, bookish people.

May 31 – Jun. 2, 2017. Armchair BEA. If you can’t attend BookExpo America (and even if you can) – join in online with the daily topic prompts for the bookish community. Answer on your own blog, then link back up and read everyone else’s answers.


#BookAwards Happenings in May

Nominees for the Shirley Jackson Awards  honoring outstanding achievement in horror, psychological suspense, and dark fantasy fiction.

✲ Shortlist for the 2016 Locus Awards Finalists which honors the best in Science Fiction and Fantasy. Winners will be announced on June 25.

Winners for the Best Translated Book Awards which highlights the best original works of international fiction and poetry published in the US.

Nominees for the Anthony Awards which honors mystery fiction writers and their works.

Winners of the Audies which recognizes distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.

Winners of the Nebula Awards for the best in science fiction.
