May Monthly Motif Check In {Story of Survival}

May Monthly Motif

The May theme for the 2016 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge is Story of Survival. “Make it out alive, beat the odds, save yourself stories.” What are you going to read?

Kim – Under Different Stars, A. Bartol has been in my Audible library for ages and I think this is a great time to listen to it.

different stars

Trey Allairis hates Earth and doubts that anyone from his world can thrive here. What he’s learning of Kricket and her existence away from her true home only confirms his theory. But, when he and Kricket lie together under the stars of Ethar, counting them all may be easier than letting her go.

Tanya – My choice is a book that’s been on my eReader for awhile – Wool (Omnibus), Hugh Howey.

Wool Book by Hugh Howey

This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.
