Monthly Motif February Check In {New Releases}

motif check in febThe February theme for the 2016 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge is New Releases What are you going to read?

Here’s what we chose …

Kim: Winter, Marissa Meyer.

Winter by Marissa Mayer

I have listened to this entire series on audiobook so far and have loved it so much. I really don’t think I could pick a favorite because each book has had its own awesomeness to offer. I can’t wait to see where Meyer takes it next.

Tanya: Illuminae, Amie Kaufman.

Illuminae

Kim told me that this book is amazing, it’s on many of the “Best Books of 2015” lists, and the blurb says, “This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded.” How can I resist?!

  1. […] FEBRUARY- New Releases Read a book released in the last year. […]

  2. For books that haven’t actually come out yet, I’m most excited for A Court and Mist and Fury and The Raven King, which are both sequels to series I love.

    1. @Bruna I have to catch up on those series. I still need to read Blue Lily but I think Kim has already read it.

  3. The new release I’m most excited to read is probably Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. The first book in this series was so good and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. But for the challenge, I’ll be reading Cold Burn of Magic by Jennifer Estep, which came out last April and thus still counts as a new release. 🙂

  4. I’m mainly just looking forward to the final installment of The 5th Wave, The Last Star by Rick Yancey. Many of my favorite books came out last year. Illuminae is on my TBR, I hope I get to read this one this year 🙂

    1. @Claudia – I’m just reading The Fifth Wave now – and looking forward to continuing the series too.
