#AppLove Cal {Calendar App}

My primary calendar to schedule my life resides on my smartphone. I’ve used the free app, Cal for over a year, and it’s probably the most used app on my phone. It integrates well with Google Calendar, which is what I access if I’m at laptop or desktop.

The interface and ease of use of Cal is excellent. They make good use of photos that are gorgeous to look at and throw a little happy in your day. But what really seals the deal for me is how well the address of any event you input gets pulled up on a map, and directions to said event are almost automatic. The day of the appointment, I just click on the app, and go.

What’s on your calendar? For me, it’s usually …

  • workout classes
  • doctor’s / dentist visits for the family
  • travel plans for work (or personal)
  • my kids swim meets, cross-county and track meets
  • races I’m participating in
  • outings

What app do you use to keep track of your appointments? Or are you paper based?

I use Google Calendar religiously for everything. It is the only way I can keep track of everyone’s schedules. I do have a written planner which allows me to see who is doing what throughout the week. The Google Calendar reminders are there to let me know when I need to leave to get to an event on time!

I use Google Calendar too Michelle – love it! And I have the app on my phone but use Cal instead – which syncs with Google Calendar.

I went back to using a book planner this year and I keep it with my laptop. It’s nice to have a place to keep notes along with the dates of appointments.

  3. I really need to switch to a digital calendar. . . but I get confused as to how they work. . . I think I will make that a new goal of mine for 2014.

Also pinned since you linked it up to the Spread the Love Linky Party! 😀

  4. It’s always nice to discover new apps 🙂

I use Google Calendar for my appointments. For the blog editorial calendar I use an Excel spreadsheet, but I’m thinking of trying Evernote.

  5. I use a whiteboard for my daughter’s school events and such, and we use Google calendar synced to all of our phones for doctor’s appointments, pay days, and what’s on the menu for dinner tonight! I love the app!! Do like the look and may have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

I use Google Calendar for my appointments. I use a physical calendar for my blog.

  7. Ooooh, more apps! Oooh, yeah!

Sorry, I get excited by the smallest things. 🙂 I also now use Evernote for my blog (or am trying to, have to get back on track for the new year), so I’ll have to check out these apps too. I already use Google Calendar, but I’m always looking for other tools that might be more handy.
