One of the most awesome things about the book blogging community is all the events that you can participate in. Here are a few that you can join in November.

Oct. 30 – Dec. 1. Nonfiction November. The schedule of weekly topics is up!. Every Monday, one of the hosts will post a discussion question and a link-up for sharing your responses, plus any nonfiction reviews you do. Every Friday, there will be a round-up post sharing highlights from your posts that week.

Nov. 1-31. Sci-Fi Month 2017. There’s a book swap, and discussion prompts.

Nov. 8-15. Ho Ho Ho Readathon. Gather up your favorite cocoa, comfort foods, holiday music and books and join in the fun. During the event, you can participate in challenges, win prizes, and join the Twiter party. You can participate for a day or every day.

Nov 22-26. Thankfully Reading Weekend. Just read – anything you can, as much as you can. Check in on Twitter with #thankfullyreading

Nov. 22-26. #ThanksgivingReadathon. Read as many books as you can in those 5 days. Use the hashtag #ThanksgivingReadathon to share your participation and progress on Twitter and other social media sites.

 


Major Book Awards in November

Nov. 3, 2017. Kirkus Prize winners – annual awards bestowed to authors of fiction, nonfiction and young readers’ literature.

Nov. 5, 2017. World Fantasy Award Winnersthis award recognizes excellence in fantasy writing from the past year.

Nov. 15, 2017.   National Book Awards winners – a set of annual U.S. literary awards given for the best in Fiction, Non-Fiction, Young People’s Literature and Poetry.

Nov. 17, 2017. The 2018 Tournament of Books long list comes out. A battle to see which of these 72 books will survive in a head to head battle. Can you predict it?

Nov. 20, 2017. The Scotiabank Giller Prize winners – a literary award given to a Canadian author of a novel or short story collection.

Nov. 21, 2017. Costa Book Awards 2017 shortlist – the only major UK book prize open solely to authors resident in the UK and Ireland.

  7. I’m doing my own Remember November to catch up on all my goals I set myself during the year!
    Also joining Read-a-thin since it’s always more fun to have some challenges to tick off while reading, haha.

    I’ll have to check out the Ho Ho Ho Readathon though!
