November Bookish Events (Online)

books to be read

Oct. 29- Nov. 30. Nonfiction November. The schedule of weekly topics is up!. Every Monday, one of the hosts will post a discussion question and a link-up for sharing your responses, plus any nonfiction reviews you do. Every Friday, there will be a round-up post sharing highlights from your posts that week.

Nov. 19-Dec. 2. Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge. Read at least one holiday tale, even if it’s just to read some children’s books with your kids or some holiday short stories. Use #CSreadathon to check in on social media.

Nov. 22-Dec. 24. 12 Books of Christmas. Read at least 1 winter holiday themed books to qualify for Elf status … but the more you read, the closer you get to being Santa’s favorite.

Nov. 21-25Thankfully Reading Weekend. Just read – anything you can, as much as you can. Check in on Twitter with #thankfullyreading

TBD – The 2019 Tournament of Books long list comes out. A battle to see which of these 72 books will survive in a head to head battle. Can you predict it?

Ongoing …

Sep. 1-Nov. 22. Sweater Weather Reading Challenge. Books that may counted can have Fall / Autumn themed titles, the word Fall in the title, the months of Fall in the title, the word harvest in the title, be about school themes (fall is time to go back to school), have leaves, fall colored trees, apples, or pumpkins on the cover.

Sep. 1 – Nov. 30. Bookish Bingo: Fall 2018. Bookish Bingo is a seasonal feature wherein we try to expand our reading horizons a bit and cover as much of the bingo card as possible. You can only use one square per book, and all books must be read in September, October or November.
