These Are a Few of My Favorite Things in 2015 #AMonthofFaves

Faves … to eat, drink, wear, smell, see, do, enjoy, best thing I bought, most used gift received etc, favorite concert, outdoor activity, place visited, most squee worthy moment of the year, biggest change.

Faves in 2015

Favorite Things in 2015KMashi 10000mAh External Battery Power Bank. This is a recent purchase, and it lives in my handbag. My phone is an older model and the battery gets drained rapidly when I use Google Maps – which is all the time since I moved to a new locale. This battery pack has saved me more than once already.

Black Sheep Yogurt. Whether you can tolerate dairy or not (I can’t) – this is the best yogurt ever. It’s made from sheep’s milk, is all natural and has just as much protein as Greek yogurt.

Caribbean Dreams Instant Ginger Tea. I’m talking about the unsweetened powder sachets, not the tea bags which I think are weak.  I seriously think that drinking this tea 2x/day will prevent colds/flu during the winter. When I’m good about doing it – it works. When I fall off the wagon – I get sick. I like to make my tea strong so I get the full “so strong it burns your throat effect.”

Pedicures. When I started to run more, I also started pampering myself and getting regular pedicures. Self care is important and my Sunday afternoon pedicures (every other week), sipping on some Dunkin Donuts coffee while reading and getting that chair massage, is something I look forward to.

Smartfood delight Popcorn (Sea Salt). 35 calories per cup for delicious goodness.

Carrington Farms Pure, Unrefined, Cold Pressed 100% Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. This is my go-to for adding moisture to my hair, face and skin. Plus – you can cook with it or add it to smoothies. I keep a tub in my bathroom and 1 in my fridge. Yeah – I love the stuff.

Oster Blend-N-Go MyBlend Blender. This gets use almost everyday. It’s a small blender that comes with a sports bottle. The top is either the blender blades, or the traiditonal sports-bottle cap. Put the blades on, flip it upside down and blend. When finished, switch it out for the regular top. I keep one at home and one in my office.

This is a great list. Love the battery pack–I have a crap one that works *sometimes* (which is basically like it not working at all, since I can’t rely on it) so am going to check out your recommendation here. Also, this may be a silly question, but does coconut oil have to live in the fridge? Ours is in the pantry and now I’m curious!

  2. That blender is genius and I need one! Awesome list.

@Amanda that blender is the best thing ever if you like smoothies.

  3. Love the battery pack! Pedicures. I have such a weird thing about my feet. I know they look bad right now, but I can’t bring myself to have them done. Maybe if I just do it, I’ll get over it.

@Chrisbiokarama you will never regret getting a pedicure 🙂

  4. I love that battery back. I need one of those.

    The yogurt looks delish too.

    Thanks for sharing.

@Elizabeg ooh the yogurt is so good. Thanks for stopping by

  5. That battery power pack looks awesome. Going to have to go seek it out.

I love the Smart Food popcorn, too. I just have to be careful or I’ll just eat the whole bag in one go. I have a similar battery pack and agree it can be a lifsaver. We depend so much on our phones that I feel lost without it now, literally and figuratively since I have a terrible sense of direction.

I don’t know if I have any faves this month. I have a Hydroflash water bottle I got ages ago that I love. It keeps things super cold and I like cold water. I haven’t tried it for hot drinks yet though. I might get another dedicated solely to hot beverages.

@fishgirl183 so true about being careful not to eat the entire bag!

I’ve been holding off on a pedicure for weeks now as motivation to finish a couple things I’ve been working on, but I FINALLY get my reward now! I definitely know why that’s a favorite!

  10. Tanya, that power bank is SWEET! What a nice thing to have in your handbag, just in case; thanks for the recommendation! Ahhh…pedicures. This is going to sound awful, awful, awful, but I have a marathon in about two weeks (Dec. 19) so I’m waiting until AFTER before I go for another one; I’ve become quite attached (by necessity!) to my existing callused spots, so I don’t want to create problems before the race. I love to go on a Sunday afternoon, as well, with my book; this sounds so delightful! I want to go right now! I didn’t know that Smartfood had a new popcorn selection out; I need to try this one. Thanks so much for sharing all of these!

@Tara you have about the best reason to wait on that pedicure. Good luck with the marathon!!!!!

I’m the same with the pedicures–they are my after-race treat of late. Though I’ve been pampering myself with crazy color manis before races, because somehow neon green nails make you run faster?

@Kerry its a bummer for me that because of my job I can’t have nailpolish on my fingernails !
