2 Halloween Themed TBR Cozy Mysteries for #WickedGoodReads

When it comes to cozy mysteries, I love a good themed series. I decided to hunt down some Halloween themed ones to add to my reading list for next year and here are two that caught my eye…

Seashells, Spells, & Caramels (Spells & Caramels Series #1), Erin Johnson

A bit Harry Potter-esque- I think I’m drawn to this one because it’s got a mix of paranormal mystery with historical fiction. The setting is a lot of fun and the entire series is about witches and other creatures.

Imogen’s spent her twenties in Seattle, saving every penny and missing every party, to follow her dream of opening her own bakery. When that dream goes up in flames, she accepts a spot in a mysterious baking contest—one she doesn’t remember entering. She travels to a bustling, medieval village off the coast of France and discovers an enchanting world of magic and mystery, and learns that she, too, possesses powers.

The Skeleton Haunts A House (Family Skeleton Series #3), Leigh Perry

Sid, the skeleton best friend of Dr. Georgia Thackery, is a living skeleton! I’m pretty curious about this book with such an unconventional main character.

Sid, who normally can’t leave his house, can’t wait to go through the Haunted House disguised as a dog for Halloween—but he gets rattled for real when a genuine dead body is discovered. Trapped inside as the police quickly seal off the crime scene, Sid makes no bones about dropping the dog suit and posing as an actual skeleton. This murder is a skull-scratcher, but as long as Sid is on the inside, he might as well case the joint to figure out who used the cover of darkness to commit the perfect crime…
