I try to stay motivated with my workouts by thinking of all the awesome events I can compete in when I’ve finally got it all together. So here’s a look at some of my “Big Dreams” for running in the near future.
- Complete all these races in one year –
5K,10K, 15K, 5 mile, 10 mile and a Half Marathon. Run a race with a member of my family.- Run a themed race, like the Santa Run 5K I did last year.
- Run in a different country or state – whether a race, or just along some well known trails.
- Become a more social runner – join a running club, or join in on group runs regularly.

My aim this year is to just find the time to run three times a week. Somehow things get in the way and I only end up at twice. I’d love to be a social runner too, but all the hassle of setting up a time with others and the stress of sticking to it makes me think twice.

Those are all terrific goals! I particularly love numbers 2 and 7. Those sound very motivating!
