#AMonthofFaves Underrated Books We Think Deserve More Buzz

A few days ago we told you about popular books worth the hype. But I’m sure you’ve read some books that you can’t believe isn’t more talked about. And that’s today’s topic for #AMonthofFaves. 3 books that we think deserve more love and attention.

KIM

Small Favors, Erin A. Craig

I felt her first novel House of Salt & Sorrows was also underrated. Thankfully I’m seeing it pop up a bit more now. I hope that happens for Small Favors because it is a book that really packs a punch! Historical Fiction & Horror wrapped up in one, this novel surprised me in so many ways.

Beasts of Prey, Ayana Grey

This one came out in September and I feel like it fell in the shadow of a few other books that came out at the same time. It’s an amazing fantasy coming of age YA book that is rich in Pan African folklore and magic. I fell in love with the characters, the setting was magical, and the story itself is a page turner.

Vespertine, Margaret Rogerson

I think Margaret Rogerson is an author I need to read more of. I loved her writing style. The book is gritty and the characters are likeable underdogs. This one just came out in October but I’m surprised it hasn’t gained just a bit more traction by now.

Have you read many books this year that you think deserve more buzz?
