Books Finished This Week: Ghost Summer: Stories, Tananarive Due. Since #Diviersiverse is happening, I wanted to get in a paranormal read written by an author of color, and I LOVED this collection of short stories! And, since my audiobook loan expired (Parasitology by Mira Grant), I ended up checking out Boy21, Matthew Quick. I also finished that off in no time because it was THAT GOOD! That book also qualifies as a selection for #Diversiverse.
Currently Reading: Terrifying Tales, Edgar Allen Poe. This is a collection of short stories by the famous novelist, and it’s also available for FREE on Amazon. So far I’ve read The Tell-Tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado – both excellent. The other 4 in the book are The Masque of the Red Death, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Purloined Letter and The Pit and the Pendulum.

Everything Matthew Quick writes is just amazing! I haven’t read Boy21 yet.
I have a big Poe compendium upstairs that I read as a teen – loved his stories! I haven;t read them in many years (decades) – I should revisit him. Thanks for the reminder!
Enjoy your books this week – I am rocking RIP X, too, though I am way behind on reviews!

@Sue Boy21 is sooo good – and that’s coming from someone who is not even big into contemporary novels.

Thanks for sharing our Travel the World in Books ReadReadathon. I do hope you are joining us again this year! Great job on RIP X, I read one ghost story and there’s a giveaway on my blog for it too, The Visitant. I loved it and it took place in Venice so it counts for my Travel the World in Books Reading Challenge too. I am hoping I can finish my readathon posts soon so I can finally start on Blog Ahead posts!
