I’m having the most wonderful last hurrah for summer by vacationing by the beach.
ONE+ I’m currently listening to the audiobook of You, Caroline Kepnes narrated by Santino Fontana – soooo good! And the tv series is really good too – have you watched it yet?
TWO+ You is a psychological thriller – and we’ve also recommended quite a few in the past. I got a few more I’d like to try from this list of 20 of the Best New Psychological Thrillers.
THREE+ Seriously – how could your Fall reading list not be extra fat and happy right now from all the recommendations that are coming at us like Barnes and Noble September Picks. I added Master of Poisons by Andrea Hairston to my own TBR. “This is an epic fantasy, conjured from African mythology and lush prose, featuring magicians, pirates, smoke-walkers, floating cities, spymasters and more, in a mesmerizing story where men and women race against time to save their world.” And … “deeply satisfying read for fans of N.K. Jemisin’s Broken Earth trilogy and Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse, or Tomi Adeyemi’s Legacy of Orïsha and Sabaa Tahir’s An Ember in the Ashes series.” Duuuuddeeeee … I’ve got to read this.
FOUR+ I also added The Jealousy Man, Jo Nesbo and Noor, Nnedi Okorafor after seeing it on The Millions Most Anticipated: The Great Second-Half 2021 Book Preview.
FIVE+ OK – I swear I haven’t just had books on the brain this week! I’ve also been listening to Billie Eilish’s second album Happier Than Ever. Issa vibe!
SIX+ I missed writing my monthly favorites here on GXO (it’s coming back soon) – and I was reminded of this when packing goodie bags for friends and an old favorite from 5 Faves for Spring [The Travel Edition] made it in – Trader Joe’s Rich Hydrating Face Sheet Mask.
SEVEN+ I mentioned in Plan with Me September that I’m in Halloween outdoor decorations theme planning mode this month, and I found some 5ft posable skeletons on Walmart for a decent price. I’m also stalking Facebook marketplace for more.
I know I talked a lot about Fall, but let me tell you, I’m still in a summer vibe. How about you?
