#OneThingThisMonth is where we challenge ourselves to complete just one goal that we set each month. Here’s a look at what we did last month (December) and our goal for next month (January).
+ Kim – For December I just wanted to finish the construction on our basement so that we could celebrate Christmas down there. We still have some finish work to do but I’m happy to say this goal has been completed!
+ Tanya – My goal for December was a pretty simple one – do everything for Christmas early! Thank goodness I started the weekend after thanksgiving – as you can see from This is How We Do Christmas, I set up 4 … 5 Christmas trees, and as my family said when they got to the house – everywhere you looked, you saw a little bit of Christmas … so there was quite a lot to do. So mission accomplished – I even got presents early too and they were a hit – carefully thought out for each person.
+ Kim – January is all about the blog for me! My main goal this month is to create all the #MonthlyMotifGXO check in post templates for the entire year. I did this last year for the first time and it was so nice just to be able to pop on each month, fill in the details specific to that month, and hit publish. Easy peasy. I’d also like to blog ahead (which is the goal all year long really) and figure out a new routine for checking in with social media and the blog, writing, and commenting.
+ Tanya – It’s the start of a New Year, so naturally, there are so many things I want to do … but – I’m keeping in mind that to be successful, I should choose just one thing – and work on it. I thought about what my first #OneThingThisMonth goal should be for the new year … and I went with walking 5 days a week. I’ve been sick for the past 6 months, and I’d really like to prioritize my health this year. I have a treadmill – I have zero excuses. I will walk – even if it’s for 5 minutes.
