Wrapping It Up {Monthly Motif Dec Check In}

Welcome to another month of the Monthly Motif Reading Challenge! If you haven’t yet- make sure you add your November Family book reviews to the Link Up. Now, on to December {Wrapping It Up}.

Wrapping It Up

“Read a Winter or holiday themed books or books with snow, ice, etc in the title or books set in winter OR read a book with a theme from any of the months in this challenge (could be a theme you didn’t do, or one you want to do again).”

Our Choices

Kim – I’ll be reading the second book in The Greenglass House series, The Ghosts of Greenglass House, Kate Milford. I loved this cute middle grade book and I’m excited to see how the second in the series is.

It’s wintertime at Greenglass House. The creaky smuggler’s inn is always quiet during this season, and twelve-year-old Milo, the innkeepers’ adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. But on the first icy night of vacation, out of nowhere, the guest bell rings. Then rings again. And again. Soon Milo’s home is bursting with odd, secretive guests, each one bearing a strange story that is somehow connected to the rambling old house. As objects go missing and tempers flare, Milo and Meddy, the cook’s daughter, must decipher clues and untangle the web of deepening mysteries to discover the truth about Greenglass House-and themselves.

Tanya – My goal is to try and finish at least one of the books for the challenges I didn’t get to this year …

  • The Empress of Bright Moon, Welna Dai Randel – Mar
  • Augustown, Kei Miller – April
  • The Dinner, Herman Koch – May
  • The Pure in Heart (Simon Serailler #3), Susan Hill – October

    I’ve so enjoyed the Monthly Motif Challenge. hard to believe there’s only 1 month left.
    I hope to read a number of Christmas/holiday themed books this month – many I have received through Freebooksy.
