This year we’ve put out a fun Bingo card to complete along with our annual #WickedGoodReads blogging event. Tanya and I have been working our way to completing one of the vertical columns for a bingo and you can too this month! Here are some recs for the “BLOOD” prompt…
Anna Dressed in Blood, Kendare Blake
This is a backlist book that I still recommend all the time. It’s the perfect YA Horror book and has fantastic scary vibes.
Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home. But- Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead. When he meets Anna he realizes he’s got to kill her before she kills him.
The Counselors, Jessica Goodman
This one just came out and I couldn’t resist the camp counselor trope! I plan to read it this month after seeing several positive reviews from other book bloggers.
Goldie, Ava and Imogen are counselors at the camp they grew up attending. This year Goldie’s long held secret about the death of a boy she liked is coming back to haunt her.
Half Bad, Sally Green
This series is so underrated! A son and father witch duo where the father is the bad guy and the son is the good guy. The world-building and characters in this one are fantastic. This one will work for the ‘witches’ bingo prompt too.
Nathan’s, the son of one of the most evil witches, only hope for survival is to escape his captors, track down Marcus, and receive the three gifts that will bring him into his own magical powers—before it’s too late.
What other books would you add to this list?
