(C)urrently Almost the End of Spring

We kicked off #SummerAtoZ last week, where our posts throughout the summer start with each letter of the alphabet. Let’s continue with what I’m (C)urrently up to, based on the April, May and June prompts from the Currently series at AnneinResidence.

Beach Weather

celebrating moving to Florida from the mid-West. It feels like a different World and we’re loving it.

giving myself permission to change. Not because I set out to do something at the start of the year means I have to hold on to it even if it’s not working! That’s a little bit nuts when you think about it.

taking more bike rides with the spouse. We want to do even more but it’s an ordeal to get them down (and bring them back up) from our 3rd floor … our complex doesn’t have any bike racks … they rent storage units and the waiting list is crazy long.

trying to drink more water by buying the 40oz Hydro Flask. It’s working. I fill it 2x for the day.

wearing lot of dresses lately. That’s really my style and I’m leaning into it.

consuming a cup of Bigelow Peppermint Tea and a Chocolate Sea Salt RXBar as I write this post – using my favorite mug.

feeling upbeat at the moment … but that’s coming off a few weeks where I was in a negative headspace.

finding that I’m reading physical and eBooks more now instead of just listening to audiobooks. I forgot how much faster I finish physical / eBooks than audiobooks.

following a morning routine. I wrote down all the things I’d “like” to get done in the morning on a sticky note and put it somewhere visible.

spending $$ on a cruise next May. We are on the waiting list (yes – for a cruise that’s almost a year from now)!

getting fresh flowers to put on our dining room table every week or so. It’s a small indulgence but with us downsizing we have a very open floor plan and seeing fresh flowers every day is bringing us joy.

going to a concert on Juneteenth. It’ll be my first concert in a few years.

planning to participate in a few races in the Fall. I feel my exercise mojo waning, so maybe having something to train for will bring it back.

posting was sporadic in the Spring. I couldn’t cope with the move, uptick in work travel and posting. But I’m back with #SummerAtoZ posts.

thinking about what I should read next from my #20BooksofSummer list. I just finished BlackOut, Dhonielle Clayton – it was so good!

What book are you currently reading? How are you feeling currently? That was the hardest prompt for me to answer.
