Monthly Motif Challenge Wrap Up Linky

We made it! Thank you to those who participated in this years Monthly Motif Reading Challenge. I hope you’re planning signing up for the 2017 Challenge as well. We wanted to wrap up this challenge with a little look back at what we read. We hope you’ll do your own wrap up post and link to it below…

 Favorite Motif Month

Kim – My favorite month was June with the theme Girlxoxo Recommends. It was fun to see which books you guys chose to read. I also really loved getting some great book recs from Tanya. I finished two out of the three books she suggested and would have finished the third if I’d been able to get my hands on a copy.

Fave Reads Recently

Tanya MAY- Story of Survival was awesome for me because I read 2 excellent books – The Girl With All the Gifts, M.R. Carey and Illuminae, Jay Kristoff and Amie Kauffman. Both books were fantastic!

Least Favorite Motif

KimI had a difficult time with the Non Fiction theme in November. In the past, I’ve loved Non Fiction but maybe I’m just not in the mood for it this year. I was supposed to read Into Thin Air, John Krakauer but only got about 50 pages in.

Monthly Motif Reading Challenge

Tanya – November was also a non-starter for me. I re-read How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie – but didn’t finish it. I’ll probably buy my own copy instead of borrowing from the library, because it really is an excellent book.

Overall Thoughts

Kim – I also really loved the October theme of Things That Go Bump in the Night but found that I wanted to have read those books in September so I could actually talk about them before October was over. So you’ll see that this year we’ve shifted things a bit to help out with that.
