Monthly Motif October Check-In [Tricks and Trades]

It’s Monthly Motif time and also my favorite time of year for reading. If I hadn’t already read them, I might choose All The Missing Girls, Megan Miranda or The Night Circus, Erin Morgenstern (such a good book) for this month. There are seriously so many great choices for this theme. Let us know if you need a recommendation.

Tricks and Trades

“Read a book set in a theater, an amusement park, a circus, or a book involving magic, illusions, or characters with special powers.”

Our Choices

✩ KIM ✩

I downloaded the audiobook of Wonder Woman: Warbringer, Leigh Bardugo several months ago so I feel like this would be a good time to finally listen to it. Except: I’ve heard mixed reviews about it and the others in the series. Now I’m not so sure I’m hyped about it. Still…. I’ll give it a try and see how it goes.

Two girls will face an army of enemies—mortal and divine—determined to either destroy or possess the Warbringer. Tested beyond the bounds of their abilities, Diana and Alia must find a way to unleash hidden strengths and forge an unlikely alliance. Because if they have any hope of saving both their worlds, they will have to stand side by side against the tide of war.
