10 Things From Us This Month [The November Edit]

Let’s catch up for a minute. Here’s a little bit of what was going on with me over the last month – and some of what we’re looking forward to next month.

November Plan With Me

ONE+ I said last month that we had our blogging mojo back and since then, we’ve posted regularly AND put out the word about 3 (… THREE!)  reading challenges that we’re hosting next year. Monthly MotifMonthly Keyword … and the NEW Monthly Book Award Reading Challenge.

TWO+ Plus, we’ve brought back our annual Master List of Reading Challenges [The 2020 Edition] and the monthly round-up of bookish events – see November #BookishEvents Online.

THREE+ November (like October) is a transition month – going from Fall | Thanksgiving to getting ready for Christmas. We enjoy adding seasonal & holiday touches inside our homes – here’s 6 Ways We Brought Fall Vibes Inside Our Homes this year. And some of our Home Favorites – things that make our home feel nice and cozy as we get ready for the colder months.

Fall Books Reading

FOUR+ Favorite new recipe tried this month – Jamaican Oxtails – it was so good but, this is one of those dishes where the left-overs are even BETTER!

FIVE+ Happenings in November also included my youngest step-son’s 16th birthday and Thanksgiving which was a food feast!

SIX+ Now it’s on to Christmas, which is our FAVORITE time of year, and Kim’s got it started right with A Picture Book Advent Calendar + 24 Favorite Holiday Picture Books. My family and I have added a few new board games this year, which is something we like to do together. Blokus is the only one we’ve played so far. It’s easy to learn and play.

SEVEN+ We’ve also started our holiday movie watching. Klaus on Netflix was cute and fun for both adults and children of all ages. The cheesier romantic ones I tend to watch solo, like The Knight Before Christmas (Netflix).

EIGHT+ Favorite thing bought in November – Holiday Christmas mugs from Target (to display on this drying rack from World Market bought in October).

… and Bailey’s Red Velvet Irish Creme … this is toooo good!

NINE+ For the Black Friday sales, we concentrated on getting a few smart devices and security sensors for our home -> Ecobee 3+ Lite (we already have one and love it), a few more mini-door sensors from Abode Home Security. Still looking into getting a smart light switch or bulbs for our mudroom entryway.

TEN + And for next month, December, I’m looking forward to my  birthday, Christmas and recapping our year with #AMonthofFaves 2019 blog series – join us!

So glad you got your blog mojo back. I wandered over to the oxtails recipe and I’m now eager to try it again.
My birthday is in December also, so it’s my favorite month.
    Happy holidays.
